BodyMedia Fit looks interesting

LiveSTRONG just announced a partnership today with BodyMedia Fit. Hoping to get into a their trial to wear it for a month and test it out. Looks like a better version of the BodyBug. Anyone seen this before?

My first 10,000 step day!

Well It took me all week, but I finally surpassed 10,000 steps in 1 day. Might be simple for some to do, but most of my days are pretty sedentary. Sitting in at a desk in front of a computer doesn't allow you to walk around much. So, at least on the weekends it's nice to see what 10,000 steps is like. Wasn't so hard. Look forward to the next 10K.

Here is the fitbit as it arrived in all it's glory.

While buying time waiting for the dogs to finish their grooming I decided I need to test out the Posterus iPhone app. About to see how instant it is.

I got the Fitbit

So, I was one of the first to get a Fitbit. I'm always one for new gadgets that track your workouts or just help you get healthier. So I have to say already after 3 days of use this little thing which you forget you are wearing really motivates. I love checking out the charts and making the red lines spike with very active activity.

It works about 90% of the time and is optimal for walking and running. Not so accurate in the gym, but still very fun. Food tracking is done manually by entering in what you ate. The sleep tracking is pretty interesting as you can see I sleep like a log. When I'm out I'm out with a 100% sleep efficiency! So far it is a pretty fun gadget, will check back in after a month of use.

Chris Corriveau's Space

I spend my days and nights developing the technology for StockTwits. If you're part of the community or a investor then follow me. I'll follow back.

When I'm not coding then I like to do long rides on my bike.
